The objectives of the SCE are:
y Supporting the design of up-to-date training programmes, using innovative
teaching - learning - assessment methods;
y Organising special programmes for the people from economically and socially
disadvantaged communities;

y Promoting and developing training programmes in collaboration with univer-
sities or similar centres/departments from the country and abroad;
y Developing the research activity within ASEM in terms of adult education,
which would contribute to the quality increase of the programmes offered;
y Supporting the elaboration of teaching materials for training programmes
and continuous professional development.
