EVENTS WITH TRADITIONS AT ASEM
International Scientific Symposium
of Young Researchers
The Scientific Symposium of Young
Researchers is held in April every year.
During the two days of the event hun-
dreds of participants from different
countries such as Moldova, Romania,
Ukraine, Belarus, and other countries,
meet together. The scientific communi-
cations presented during the conferen-
ce by the bachelor, master and PhD stu-
dents are divided into thematic sections.
“The Best Student of ASEM” contest
Second and third year Bachelor students, as well as Master students can annually apply
in October for the nomination of “The Best Student of ASEM. So far, 180 students have
received awards for the Ist, IInd and IIIrd places, and 17 of them will remain in the histo-
ry of ASEM as the best students, holders of Major Prizes. These are: Elvira Palitu, Cristian
Rotaru, Igor Garabajiv, Vitalie Simenciuc, Cristina Frinea, Elena Terzi, Daniela Dermenji,
Irina Paladi, Irina Țurcan, Radu Artin, Daniela Moisei, Nicoleta Gonța, Ștefan Țurcanu,
Augustin Ignatov (2 editions), Dumitrița Șuletea, Valeria Tamașciuc and Aurelia Rusu.
The awards are traditionally handed to the winners on November 17, on the occasion
of the International Students’ Day.
Students for one day at ASEM
For 2 days, about 150 selected students
from high schools visit ASEM and “try”
the status of ASEM student. After a
team-building session, the students visit
the university premises, the library, the
media library, the Business Incubator
and the IT Incubator 4Business, the TV
studio of ASEM, the didactic restaurant,
as well as other “places of interest” n the
university campus. They can also attend
classes, so the ones who wish to become
ASEM students may find from the first
