Call for the 2023 Best Student Paper Award

The Jean Monnet Center of Excellence (JMCOE) announces
Call for the 2023 Best Student Paper Award.

We invite all interested students to submit their paper on one of following topics:

Topic 1: New Trends in Competition Law
Topic 2: Competition Policy Contributing to the European Green Deal
Topic 3: Competition Law Enforcement and Advocacy

Paper submissions will be evaluated through a review process conducted by the Projects review committee.
The award winner and finalists will be selected based on the ratings and comments received from paper reviewers.

AWARD

The winner of the student best paper award will be INVITED to participate at the 2024 JMCOE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE AND PANNONIAN TUDENT CAMP in October, 2024 in Osijek (Croatia).
All expenses (travel, per diems, accommodation) will be fully covered.

Eligibility Criteria
  1. A student must be enrolled at the JMCOE project´s members institutions as a PhD, Master or Bachelor student.
  2. The paper must represent original research conducted by a student and be the primary author of the submitted paper.
  3. A full-length paper must be officially submitted via the email in pdf format.
  4. Each student can only enter one paper in this competition.
Guidelines for the Final Paper
  1. All papers must be written in English.
  2. The submission must be the original work of the student i.e. shouldn’t be plagiarized and also should be free from grammatical, spelling and other errors. It must also not contain any defamatory words.
  3. Submission must be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words and author(s) affiliation
  4. The full text of paper must be between 3000-5000 word with footnotes and without literature.
  5. Each paper need to have list of used literature.
  6. Font Type and Size of the main text must be Times New Roman, 12.
  7. Font Type and Size of footnotes must be Times New Roman, 10.
  8. Font Type and Size of headings must be Times New Roman, 14.
  9. Line Spacing of the main text and footnotes must be 1.5, Single respectively.
  10. Use of headings and Sub-Headings is encouraged. Headings and Sub-Headings should be numbered, and should be in bold.
Evaluation Criteria

Your paper will also be evaluated based on:

  1. Significance and impact of work
  2. Creativity and innovation
  3. Completeness and quality of work presented
  4. Articulacy in writing and presentation
  5. Relevance to information and systems engineering, broadly defined.

Important Dates

Deadline for full paper submission is 1 December 2023
Final decision on the winner will be published on 15 December 2023.
