The conference Sustainability and Economic Resilience in the Context of Global Systemic Transformations aims to address the challenges and solutions related to sustainability and economic resilience at both national and global levels. In a global economic environment marked by rapid and unpredictable transformations – ranging from climate change and financial crises to technological innovations and geopolitical tensions – the discussions will explore the mechanisms through which economies and businesses can withstand and thrive amid these challenges.

The conference will be held on March 27-28, 2025 at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova and simultaneously online via the Zoom platform.

Conceptual references:

The global economic landscape is undergoing profound transformations driven by rapid technological advancements, climate change, geopolitical tensions, and evolving socio-economic dynamics. The increasing interconnectedness of economies, industries, and markets amplifies both opportunities and vulnerabilities. In this volatile and uncertain environment, sustainability and economic resilience have become essential pillars for ensuring long-term stability and growth.

Economic resilience is no longer limited to the capacity to absorb shocks; it requires proactive adaptation, strategic foresight, and innovative policy frameworks. Businesses, governments, and communities must integrate sustainability principles into their economic models, balancing economic growth with environmental and social responsibility. The transition towards sustainable development involves redefining value creation, optimizing resource allocation, and mitigating systemic risks.

The conference will examine key mechanisms for building resilient and sustainable economies, with discussions covering theoretical frameworks and practical strategies in multiple fields, including economics, business, technology, governance, and social sciences. Topics such as sustainable business models, technological innovation, financial stability, social inclusion, and digital security will be explored to provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and solutions in the current global context.

By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and knowledge exchange, the conference aims to contribute to shaping resilient and sustainable economic systems capable of withstanding future uncertainties while ensuring long-term prosperity.
